we offer a two day, 2.5 hour preschool program for children 3-5 years
wonder&wild offers a unique and precious early learning experience for highly creative and curious kiddos! we are an individualized, child-centered, play-based playschool program based in Reggio Emilia principles. our founder and facilitator, a long time reggio practioner, will partner in your child’s learning and a guide to deeper their understanding of their unique interests through art, play and real world experiences Students will have access to meaningful materials, art tools and skills, time for reflection and supported with meaningful documentation of their learning process. we will connect with our mountlake terrace community through visits and interactions with local artists, business owners, city officials, neighbors, etc.
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursdays
Time: 9:30am - 12pm

Tuition: $500/mo (includes unlimited monthly membership for Community Studio
Registration Fee: $100 (non refundable) plus June 2027 Tuition

We believe that play is children engaging in imaginative thinking, asking questions, and taking risks in developmentally appropriate ways with meaningful materials, an environment and community which must naturally center the child. Through meaningful relationships built between facilitator and children and their families, our facilitator creates an unique and empowering environment that fosters an environment of child led play based learning.
100 languages
it is a core Reggio Emilia Approach principle that there are endless ways a child can express themselves and their ideas and we are deeply committed to providing the avenues of creation and play for children to share and explore their ideas in empowering ways. The celebration of 100 languages encourages adults to say yes, to be co-researchers, and most importantly, to make the child feel known, seen and celebrated by validating their ideas through play and child driven learning.
documentation
capturing a child’s learning through written and visual documentation allows the child to reflect back on their learning which gives them the opportunity to more ask questions and organize new information which further cement their understanding of the world around them. We use a learning story format that allows space for teacher/parent reflection and ideas about how to continue to scaffold their learning. At the end of the year, it makes a remarkable documentation of the extraordinary things your child did in the atelier
community
the Reggio Emilia approach inherently builds community as it is the relationships between teacher, child and families which then extends through each persons networks of connection. In our program, we honor this through regular, qualitly connection around your child’s learning, intentional school celebrations, parent evenings and social events, in addition to access to our open play studio hours.
